Hearts and Minutes began in 2007 as a two-piece of Vincent Covarrubias and Griffin Wright. Dio McLeod joined on guitar and bass in 2011. With band members initially splitting time between Los Angeles and Portland, they are now based in Los Angeles. The band aims to explore a variety of sounds from post-rock to 1980's post-punk to the heavier sounds of post-hardcore/noise rock.
A variety of friends have joined the band on recordings and on tours over
the years providing varying additional instrumentation to the mix. The band has released 2 albums and 3 EPs on Lifeboat Records and have toured the West Coast countless times.
